Fisher's huge three
I had a feeling something awesome was going to happen. It did. Derek Fisher hit a huge {HUMONGOUS} shot to tie it at 87 with 4 seconds left. Orlando called a timeout and then Turkoglu called another one. Finally they got the ball into Mickael Pietrus and he had plenty of time to put a good shot up. But he put up a bad angled shot and it dropped down as time expired.
In overtime, Kobe made a couple of good shots, but then later with 1:27 left in OT, Dwight Howard shoved Pau Gasol and they ca! lled a foul on Gasol. So Howard went to the line and made one of two. Derek Fisher brought the ball down after that and a couple of passes around were made and they ended up missing their shot. Trevor Ariza saved it from going out and with 1:01 left, Phil Jackson called a time out. Kobe Bryant was then passed the ball to and missed a shot. Jameer Nelson was called for a loose ball foul on Gasol and the Lakers passed it in to Kobe. He gave it to Fisher and he made another humongous clutch shot. HUGE shot. Made it 94-91. Love this Lakers basketball. Fisher had a huge smile on his face. Orlando called a timeout. Turkoglu then missed a shot, and then Gasol sprinted after the loose ball and dunked it in!!! Orlando called another timeout with 21.6 left. I was jumping after this play. Turkoglu missed it again, probably the worst time to miss. The ball was tipped around and then finally Fisher got control. He then threw it to Gasol and as he dunked it in, Pietrus whammed him on the! back and they had an "exchange" of words. They gave Pietrus a! flagran t and Gasol a technical. Gasol made one of the free throws to take the game 99-91!!! WOOOO!
Kobe led LA with 32, Gasol added 16 points and 10 rebounds, Ariza had 16 as well, and Fisher had 12. You have to give credit to everyone on the roster, though. Ariza made huge plays, then Fisher made his huge plays, and Gasol finished off Orlando.
Orlando was led by Hedo Turkoglu's 25 and Dwight's 16 points and 21 rebounds.
